Physiological or conjugation jaundice: causes

Any yellowness of the skin is associated with an increased level of bilirubin in the blood of a person, even just born. Bilirubin is a substance that is formed after the breakdown of red blood cells. Nuclear jaundice of newborns in the absence of timely and correct treatment can lead to mental retardation and physical development, cerebral palsy, deafness, reduced vision and even blindness. The activity of the entire nervous system is disrupted, and a very serious neurological defect arises. In some cases, nuclear jaundice leads to paralysis of the child.
